GALA in Montreal
The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA Global) is a trade association — a nonprofit organization founded and funded by businesses that operate in a specific industry. GALA serves and supports the global language services and technologies industry which comprises translation, interpreting, localization, and the technologies that support such activities.
During their event in April 2025, CrossLang gave a talk titled ‘Bridging Language Gaps: Synthetic Data Creation for Domain-Specific MT with LLMs’. The talk outlined how large language models can be used to generate synthetic training data for specialized machine-translation scenarios. The session described our exploratory workflows for improving MT performance where traditional parallel data is scarce.
